    Double Commute

    Joy after 5 years at College Hospital has moved on to become the Director of Social Services at Brotman Hospital in Culver City. This is a big promotion for her, but also meant that she can’t do Alice’s drop off at the Magical House Day Care. Since my schedule is flexible its now my duty to drive her to Cerritos and take the Metro Green Line back to El Segundo. Its been about four years since i really had a commute to work and i knew what i was getting into since i took the Green Line when i worked for International Rectifier 10 years ago, but its everything else…

    Alice and I

    I can’t believe but six months later was the first time i had to take care of Alice all by myself. Its not that i’d been avoiding it, its just circumstances always had me needing help for one reason or another. This week i spent the better part of two days with her, hanging out, feeding, sleeping, playing, and going out. Thankfully she loves being out, and really only complains now when you leave her on the floor and leaving to do chores.     Friday Night Dinner

    The other week Joy and I went wanted to get some sushi, and with Alice in tow we decided to try another revolving sushi bar which we regretted right away. So to make up for it this past Friday we went to our local sushi bar Sushi Bei, really early in the evening to beat the Valentines rush. Thankfully there were only a couple older couples at the bar, and we got to sit adjacent to the bar at a table which allowed us to order directly from our sushi chef Aki, instead of ordering off of the menu, and getting everything at once.
