    2013-2014 NBA Predictions

The NBA season really has sprung up on me this season and i barely even knew the preseason was going on. Its probably because i’ve already given up on the Lakers’ season and expect them to eventually trade Pau Gasol and just tank the rest of the season in hopes of drafting some kid named Andrew Wiggins. My overall sense of the upcoming season is that it will be a revival of stars lost last year. Meaning that Derrick Rose, Kevin Love, and even Andrew Bynum come back to make a difference this year, but the stars currently hurt, Kobe, Rondo, wont make a difference to their teams overall success.…

Top 10 Things to Bring with you to Disneyland

No day at Disneyland is the same as the any other, and all you can do is plan well, be ready to adapt, and make sure you enjoy yourself. I don’t have kids of my own yet, but i’ve been there plenty of times with kids that range from toddlers to pre-teens and each need their own supplies. These are beyond things you probably already know what to bring. 10. Extra Clothes The mornings may be nice, the afternoons may be hot, and the evenings may become freezing so having jackets and sweats may be helpful to keep your family warm if the winds pick up or weather takes a…

    Gusto

Saturday night I invited the Manichans to our weekly dinner date night. They made reservations for us and we were totally confused because Ben called the place Gousteau’s, and we kept searching and searching for it online and couldn’t not find it. Only until we got to their house we learned that Ben kept giving the name a French twist instead of an Italian twist which meant the restaurant’s name was really Gusto. Joy and I actually walked by Gusto the night we went to Son of  Gun which was just a couple doors down. Gusto is a small restaurant with s concise menu, which allowed us to pick and choose…

    Cirque du Soleil | TOTEM

I’m glad that i’m still getting some benefits to being a Yelp Elite. This month i got tickets to the preview night of TOTEM down in San Pedro. I wasn’t sure if we were going to make it because how busy work has been, but thankfully i got off at a normal hour and we drove south to check out the show. This would be our second Cirque du Soleil show (Zumanity being the other) and a good distraction from the week. Probably the ost amazing thing was that i didn’t fall asleep in the middle of it. We arrived a little late because of dinner but when we got…

    Prepping for Alice

Joy is heading into full term tomorrow and basically all things are looking normal. Joy’s last week of work is going to be next week, and she’s looking forward to having a little time off before giving birth. Alice has been shiving Joy from the inside which is making it difficult for her to sleep some nights, but other than that she seems to be handling the pregnancy pretty well in my opinion. We’ve hit the midway point of our childbirth preparation class that we’ve been taking at Kaiser Permanente in Anaheim every Wednesday night which while driving i want to take a turn to head to Disneyland, but once in…

    Osteria Mozza

For date night number 4 i originally had planned a Sunday Night Supper at Lucques (sister to AOC) but i was needed for my basketball league so i had to make a change in reservations. With most restaurants booked up i was pleased at getting a 6:30pm reservation at Osteria Mozza (sister of Pizzeria Mozza) the more formal dining experience of the Nancy Silverton, Mario Batali and Joseph Bastianich group. As we were being seated we were brought pass the busy main dining area into the back area which felt awkward since we were the only ones there in this sectioned off area because it was so much quieter, it ended…
